The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has permitted Russian figure Skater Kamila Valieva to continue her participation in the women's figure skating competition at the Winter Olympics, despite failing a doping test weeks ago. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) says Valieva will not be honored with a medal even if she competes in the top three in Beijing, and her medal will be on hold until her doping case is resolved. The 15-year-old made headlines after a Russian newspaper, RBC, reported that she tested positive for a banned substance—trimetazidine—used to treat angina.
