Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced on Sunday that he would act on the Biden administration’s proposal to allow the country to seize Russian oligarchs’ assets and liquidate them and send the money to help Ukraine.

The proposal will be added to the $33 billion Ukrainian aid package that the Congress is yet to pass this month.

"Ukraine needs all the help it can get and, at the same time, we need all the assets we can put together to give Ukraine the aid it needs," said Schumer.
