South Carolina became the latest state to ban transgender athletes from playing in girls’ sports teams at all public schools and colleges.

Following Tennessee, Texas, Georgia and several other GOP-led states, Governor Henry McMaster signed the 'Save Women's Sports Act' into law that requires students to compete in sports based on their biological sex mentioned on their birth certificate.

According to the LGBTQ+ supporters, the ban could worsen the mental stability among transgender athletes as they already face isolation and stigmatization.
