In a letter sent to employees on Sunday, Spotify CEO Daniel Ek said the company will invest $100 million for "licensing, development, and marketing" music and audio content from "historically marginalized groups”. The letter was obtained by Axios reporter Sara Fischer.

The letter further adds that the music streaming platform will not by “silencing” Joe Rogan.

Ek adds in the letter that he “strongly” condemns Joe Rogan’s use of the n-word and other derogatory comments.

Reportedly, Spotify has removed 70 episodes of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ following a video that emerged over the weekend where Joe Rogan is using racial comments in the past episodes. The star podcaster apologized Friday for using the N-word and acknowledged it was “regretful and shameful”.
