K-pop supergroup BTS met with President Joe Biden on Tuesday at the White House to discuss Asian inclusion and diversity, and shed light on the rising anti-Asian hate crimes.
Crimes targeting East Asians rose dramatically in the country amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It’s not wrong to be different,” said BTS member Suga through an interpreter. “Maybe equality begins when we open up and embrace all of our differences.”
