The Los Angeles Rams won the Super Bowl title after a nail-biting match against the Cincinnati Bengals with a final score of 23-20. This marks the second victory of the team after Super Bowl XXXIV, almost 22 years ago when the team was known as the St. Louis Rams.
The game kicked off with the promised amount of adrenaline with stellar performances and turned into a full-blown celebration at the Half-Time show.
Fans witnessed a power-play from the Rams in the first two quarters but that did not last for very long. Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. suffered a knee injury in the third quarter and was unable to play further. Furthermore, a trick play by the Bengals made the Rams struggle to get through the game and fans had to keep their fingers crossed.
Destined to take home the Lombardi Trophy, the Rams were back in their form during the fourth quarter, all thanks to Cooper Kupp. The wide receiver’s game-changing move in the last 1:29 minutes helped the team seize the day. And no doubt, Kupp became the eighth wide receiver to be named MVP.
