Commercial truck traffic from Mexico’s Chihuahua to United States’ Texas will likely return to normal as the governors of both the states reach an agreement on border security and traffic.
Texas’ Republican Governor Greg Abbott said the borders would conduct enhanced safety inspections to reduce the number of illegal immigrants, which would affect Democratic President Biden’s ‘open borders’ policies.
The agreement between the two states has received mixed responses. Some Mexican truck drivers welcome the arrangement, while others remain doubtful.
