“It’s now or never if we want to limit global warming to 1.5°C (2.7°F),” says Jim Skea, a scientist at the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
A recently released IPCC report—researched, discussed and consolidated by 278 authors from 65 countries—recommends the need for urgent measures to see changes within 2030 (that is, in our generation).
IPCC further stressed the point stating, “The evidence is clear: the time for action is now. We can halve emissions by 2030.”
The report titled Climate Change 2022: Mitigation of Climate Change elaborated on the changes countries, corporates, and individuals could make to help half emissions in less than ten years.
