Screen grab of Channel One

Marina Ovsyannikova, editor at Russia’s state Channel One, burst onto the sets during a live telecast with an antiwar sign reading “Stop the war. Don’t believe propaganda. They’re lying to you.”

In a pre-recorded video, Marina voiced she was “ashamed” of her work that she called Kremlin propaganda and called events in Ukraine a “crime”.

She urged Russians to protest against the war in Ukraine.

Following her actions, Ovsyannikova has reportedly been detained by the police.
