Expanding beyond short-form content, TikTok has begun rolling out the option for users to post videos up to ten minutes in length. Previously, TikTok videos could be only up to three minutes in length. The roll-out is expected to provide tough competition to YouTube and Instagram, who had recently “borrowed” the idea of Shorts and Reels from the TikTok platform. TikTok currently has a massive base of over 1 billion active monthly users.
