Following a 40-day retirement, NFL’s Tom ‘The GOAT’ Brady said he would return to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the upcoming 2022 season.
His return will mark the 23rd season in his NFL career and his second season playing for the Buccs.
The 44-year old ace quarterback confirmed his comeback through Twitter, saying, “These past two months, I've realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands.”
The announcement came after Brady met soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo, leading fans to speculate it was Ronaldo who convinced Brady to return to the NFL.
Fans are excited at the prospect of the NFL star winning his eighth career Super Bowl title this year.
