A 27-year-old woman was stabbed in the thigh on a New York City subway platform on Monday, just six days after a mass shooting underground that injured more than 20 people.

The unnamed victim was stabbed at 34th Street Herald Square station and was immediately rushed to the Bellevue hospital. The victim is stable.

According to the police, the unidentified suspect of the stabbing is at large.

From 2021 to 2022, reported subway crimes have seen an increase of 65%. There have been 580 transit crimes reported this year as of April 3—compared to 351 over the same period last year.
