Emergency services in Ukraine have extinguished the fire that broke out in a training building at Zaporizhzhya, Europe’s largest nuclear plant, during intense fighting between the Russian and Ukrainian troops. The news arrives soon after Russia captured the Chernobyl power plant in northern Ukraine a few days ago. Experts say the Zaporizhzhia plant is a much different and safer plant compared to Chernobyl, and authorities confirmed that there was no radiation threat after the attack. Zaporizhzhya power plant provides a quarter of the total electricity in Ukraine.
