San Francisco-based digital authentication firm Okta Inc has confirmed that hundreds of customers have potentially been affected by a security breach caused by a hacking group known as Lapsus$.

On Monday night, Lapsus$ posted screenshots—dated from January—showing it had access to the support account.

The group previously took responsibility for attacks on Nvidia and Microsoft.

Okta helps many organizations securely access their networks, so a breach could have serious consequences across the Internet.
