As COVID-19 cases are still high, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky urges not to remove the indoor mask mandate, especially in schools and other public places.

Her request came at the heels of the announcements made by officials from New Jersey, Delaware, Connecticut, Oregon and California that they plan to lift the mask mandates in the coming weeks.

Walensky added, “Right now our CDC guidance has not changed ... We continue to endorse universal masking in schools.”

The country is still at the risk of an ongoing pandemic and there is no better time than now to keep our masks up.
