The US House of Representatives on Tuesday passed a bill to provide over $40 billion in aid for Ukraine against the Russian invasion.
The bill received wide bipartisan support as it passed the House with 368-57 votes.
A breakdown of the $40bn bill
The $40 billion Ukraine aid plan is more than 5% of the entire US’s national security budget of $782 billion.
The bill would aid the Ukrainian troops and NATO allies that fight against Russia’s invasion.
