US District Judge Rebecca Grady Jennings on Thursday temporarily blocked Kentucky officials from enforcing the recently-enacted 15-week abortion ban.
Planned Parenthood is arguing that the law is “impossible to comply with” and “amounts to a de facto abortion ban, thus violating patients’ federal right to abortion under Roe v. Wade.”
Planned Parenthood and EMW Women’s Surgical Center are the only two abortion providers in Kentucky.
