Ukraine observed Orthodox Easter on Sunday as the day marked two months of the Russian invasion.

While churches used to see people congregate for the morning and evening services, this year, churches were asked not to gather many people as they could be targets for missile strikes.

Easter away from home
According to the UN refugee agency, more than five million displaced Ukrainians celebrated Easter away from their homes.

Celebration in Europe
Filling churches all across central Europe, Ukrainian refugees gave thanks for escaping the invasion, but prayed for peace and a safe return to their homeland, to the family they left behind.
