After early shortages, this week the Biden administration will unveil plans to make Pfizer's COVID-19 pill—Paxlovid—available at almost all pharmacies in the country.

The drug had become extremely difficult to find due to the sudden rise in Omicron cases.

Paxlovid, also called a “game-changer” drug, can cure infections at home and reduces the risk of severe illness outside of the hospitals.

According to Bloomberg, Paxlovid is currently available at about 20,000 locations in the country.
