The Biden administration is seeking an additional $30 billion from Congress to fight the coronavirus pandemic. According to sources, the $30 billion request includes funds for antivirals, testing capacity and fighting future variants—$4.9 billion for testing, $17.9 billion for vaccines and treatments, among other coronavirus-related spending. The administration may face opposition from Republicans and even some Democrats wary of approving additional funding.
