The Twitter board is re-examining Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s offer to buy the platform for $43 billion.
The board would likely negotiate with the billionaire’s initial offer rather than using a poison pill again and could finalize a deal as soon as this week.
The decision to reconsider is followed by the micro-blogging platform’s shareholders’ push to look into Musk’s offer.
Last week, the Tesla CEO revealed a detailed financial plan for his offer. Shareholders urged the company’s board not to let the opportunity slip away.
The board is expected to address the bid during its first-quarter earnings call on Thursday.
