Ukraine’s Antonov-225 Mriya aircraft, deemed to be the largest plane in the world, has reportedly been decimated by Russian strikes at an airfield near Kyiv on Sunday. The 276-foot long ‘Mriya’ aircraft, which can transport up to 250 metric tons of cargo at speeds in excess of 500 mph, will cost over $3 billion to restore, tweeted Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. The Antonov Company, makers of the famed aircraft, is yet to confirm the current ‘technical condition’ of the aircraft.
