Amgen to acquire Horizon Therapeutics for $26 billion

Amgen will be buying the drug company Horizon Therapeutics at a valuation of close to $26 billion, according to Bloomberg.

This will be the US biotechnology giant’s largest-ever acquisition and the biggest deal in the healthcare sector this year.

Horizon is known for providing drugs for rare autoimmune and severe inflammatory conditions. The drug company has a market capitalization of about $22 billion.
