Donald Trump secured victories in Nevada and Arizona (the final state to be called), bringing his Electoral College count to 312 against Kamala Harris’s 226, surpassing the 270 needed to win the presidency.

These wins and earlier victories in battleground states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Georgia mean he won all seven swing states this election.

Trump had 50.6% of the votes in Nevada compared to Harris’s 47.4%. In Arizona, with 87% of the vote counted, Trump led with 52.6% against 46.4% for Harris.

The election marked the first time since 2004 that Nevada backed a Republican presidential candidate.

Despite Trump’s win in Nevada, Democratic Senator Jacky Rosen retained her seat, defeating Republican challenger Sam Brown with 47.9% to 46.4%.
