Federal health agencies, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, are taking down webpages with information about gender identity and other data to comply with President Donald Trump’s order to remove “gender ideology” from their sites.
According to the Wall Street Journal, more than 1,000 pages went missing from the websites of the CDC, the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Health and Human Services.
CDC told staff that “he,” “she” and “sex” were acceptable words.
President Trump said he supported the changes and added, “If they want to scrub the websites that’s good with me.”
