Recent reports have revealed that JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon and Microsoft founder Bill Gates are vague about their political alignments in public while privately backing Vice President Kamala Harris for the presidency.

According to the New York Times, Dimon indicated he would consider a role in Harris’s administration, such as Treasury Secretary. But he wants to keep his stance private over fears of Donald Trump’s return to office and retaliation.

The NYT also reported later that billionaire Gates donated $50 million to the nonprofit Future Forward, supporting Harris’s presidential bid.

Dimon and Gates have not endorsed a candidate.
