A government shutdown seems more likely after President-elect Donald Trump sided with Elon Musk and condemned Tuesday’s Republican-backed three-month spending package.
Trump asked the Congress to scrap the deal and “pass a streamlined bill” that doesn’t give Democrats “everything they want.” According to Fox News, the former president is “totally against” the bill.
Congress must pass the short-term funding deal by the end of the week to prevent many federal government offices from shuttering this Saturday.
