In a series of executive orders signed by President Donald Trump yesterday to reshape the US military, he banned transgender service members.

In other orders, he removed diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives from the Department of Defense and reinstated people who were removed from service over their refusal of COVID-19 vaccines.

Criticizing his actions, advocacy groups say the president’s actions would be illegal.
