President-elect Donald Trump named Susie Wiles his White House chief of staff, making her the first woman to hold the position. The appointment marks the first critical move in Trump’s second-term preparations.

Wiles, 67, has been a key figure in Trump’s campaigns since 2016. She managed his operations after the Capitol attack in 2021 when the former president lost to President Joe Biden.

She is the daughter of famous NFL announcer Pat Summerall.

Other roles are under consideration, with Trump’s general counsel Mark Paoletta, a potential pick for attorney general.

Trump is prioritizing loyalty as he prepares for his second term, and his transition team is vetting candidates for key positions.
