The outage followed a reported battery-related fire at X’s Oregon data center on Thursday
Elon Musk’s social media platform X is working again for most users after a massive global outage disrupted access on Saturday around 9 a.m. ET.
Downdetector showed a sharp rise in complaints shortly after 8 a.m., which quickly declined within an hour.
Internet tracker NetBlocks confirmed the outage affected people worldwide but wasn’t caused by government blocks. Users had been sharing complaints and error messages on Reddit for days.
The outage followed a reported battery-related fire at X’s Oregon data center last Thursday.
While services have largely returned, X’s platform status page still notes degraded performance in some login systems.
