Former President Donald Trump made a high-profile return to the social media X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, nearly a year after his last appearance. In his interview with Elon Musk, they discussed immigration, foreign relations, energy policy, and the recent assassination attempt.

Technical issues delayed the interview by 40 minutes; despite this, it attracted 1.3 million listeners.

During the conversation, Trump echoed his rally speeches, criticizing President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and the ongoing wars in Ukraine and Israel. Musk, in agreement with Trump, also touched on inflation and air quality.

The interview marked Trump’s comeback to the X platform following his historic mugshot post on it from the Georgia election subversion case last August.
