Astronauts Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore will stay at the ISS till February 2025|@Space_Station|X
NASA will use SpaceX’s Dragon Capsule to bring back astronauts Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore from the International Space Station (ISS) to earth in February 2025 due to ongoing issues with the Boeing Starliner.
The decision extends Williams and Wilmore’s stay on the ISS from eight days to around eight months.
Starliner will return uncrewed in early September, while SpaceX will send its Dragon flight to the ISS the same month.
The setback is a significant blow to Boeing, which faces $1.6 billion in cost overruns.
