Boeing’s troubled Starliner spacecraft made a safe uncrewed landing at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico over the weekend. During its return, the craft faced thruster issues.

NASA and the flight maker will now investigate what caused issues in the shuttle.

Starliner, which carried astronauts Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore to space in June, faced multiple problems with its propulsion system, including thruster failures and helium leaks while docking at the ISS.

The issues led to NASA’s decision to fly the spacecraft back without its crew.

Astronauts Williams and Wilmore will remain on the ISS until February, when a SpaceX rocket will bring them home.
