NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore, who have been stranded at the International Space Station for nine months, are closer to returning home.
SpaceX’s Crew-10 mission, carrying four astronauts, is set to launch at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Wednesday at 7:48 p.m. ET.
The craft will bring back the Williams and Wilmore—originally supposed to be in space for a week—after the crew spends seven days aboard the ISS.
Meanwhile, Elon Musk and former President Donald Trump have claimed that politics delayed the astronauts’ return, sparking a heated online debate with astronauts. NASA, however, insists that safety remains its top priority in all mission decisions.
