The Intuit Dome, a $2 billion sports and entertainment venue in Inglewood, California opened yesterday with back-to-back Bruno Mars concerts. It’s the brainchild of former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for his basketball team, the Los Angeles Clippers.
Spanning 26 acres and featuring nearly 18,000 seats, the Dome will serve as the new home for the LA Clippers, starting their season in mid-October.
The venue aims to be the most technologically advanced and user-friendly in the world.
- A highlight is the massive 44,000-square-foot, double-sided 4K video screen known as the Halo Board, which even features mounted T-shirt cannons to give every fan a chance to catch a shirt.
- To keep events affordable, the Clippers offered season tickets as low as $30 per game, and free shuttles to help fans save on parking costs.
- The venue is also fully carbon neutral, utilizing solar panels and renewable energy.
Over 20 concerts of artists including Olivia Rodrigo and Usher are scheduled to happen at the new stadium before the Clippers’ inaugural game on November 22.
Additionally, the Dome is slated to host the 2026 NBA All-Star Game and the 2028 Olympic basketball events.
