Fans looking to buy US men’s national team (USMNT) jerseys before the World Cup knockout stage may be out of luck, with supplies dwindling at retailers.

Critics are blaming Nike for underestimating demand.

Nike, the official jersey partner of the USMNT, is sold out of most jersey sizes, while Dick’s Sporting Goods, Fanatics, and several other retailers also have limited inventory, according to The Athletic.

As of Friday, only a few sizes of specific players’ shirts were available. People reported that the hardest to find was the popular USMNT red-striped home shirt.

Critics say that, despite record-breaking sales following their March release, Nike ignored retailers’ requests to increase inventory.

To combat the jersey drought, Nike announced that an additional supply of the $100 USMNT Stadium jerseys will drop on July 1 across select platforms.

Sportswear brands usually employ a strict production strategy to avoid post-tournament surplus.

Similar shortages occurred in February after the US men’s hockey team won its first Olympic gold since 1980.

Meanwhile, competitor Adidas is facing similar inventory struggles with kits for Germany, Curacao, and Japan.
