Tech fans expect Apple to unveil its first-ever foldable iPhone at today’s product event.
The rumored book-like foldable could be called iPhone Duo and is expected to cost $2,000. It would signal Apple’s entry into the flip phone market dominated by Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi.
Despite growing interest, foldables accounted for just 2% of total global smartphone shipments last year, with 20 million units shipped, according to Counterpoint Research.
The event would be the phone’s most dramatic redesign since its 2007 launch, and a major moment for CEO John Ternus as he takes the reins.
