Microsoft has withdrawn from its observer seat on the board of ChatGPT maker OpenAI amid antitrust officials in the US and UK raising concerns over Big Tech’s relationship with artificial intelligence startups, the Wall Street Journals reported.

Apple will also no longer be able to take up a similar role.

Microsoft invested $13 billion in OpenAI for a 49% stake in the company’s for-profit arm.
