OpenAI releases text-to-video AI model Sora Turbo

OpenAI released a faster version of Sora, called Sora Turbo—the company’s text-to-video AI model—to ChatGPT Plus and Pro users.

First introduced in February, the AI model had Tyler Perry put his $800 million studio expansion on hold.

Users can create 20-second videos in 1080p resolution by providing the tool with a text prompt.

Sora will not yet be available in EU countries, Switzerland and the UK, but it will be accessible where ChatGPT is present.

The company said it has taken steps to avoid the tool’s misuse
