The Department of Justice (DOJ) is investigating German software developer SAP SE and reseller Carahsoft Technology Corp. for allegedly conspiring to overcharge US government agencies for over a decade, reports Bloomberg.
The DOJ is reviewing potential price-fixing schemes involving SAP’s business software and Carahsoft’s sales to the US military and other government entities.
The probe, which involves the False Claims Act, focuses on over $2 billion in SAP sales since 2014, posing a significant legal risk to both companies. On Tuesday, FBI agents and military investigators raided Carahsoft’s Virginia offices.
Earlier this year, SAP agreed to pay $222 million to settle separate bribery investigations.
