A hacker group, ShinyHunters, claims to have breached Ticketmaster and stolen personal data, including names, addresses, phone numbers and partial credit card details of nearly 560 million global customers.

The FBI and the Australian government are investigating the claims. The hackers also posted the stolen data as available for a “one-time sale” of $500,000.

ShinyHunters is notorious for high-level cybersecurity breaches. In 2021, it sold data of 70 million AT&T customers, according to the BBC.

Ticketmaster and its parent, Live Nation, haven’t commented on the issue yet. The ticketing website holds over 80% of the primary ticket sales market in the US.
