The Labor Day weekend is going to be among the busiest in many areas, but travelers will enjoy lower prices. Thanks to increased supply and lower fuel prices, airfare has decreased by 5% from last year and 17% from 2019.

AAA projects a 9% rise in domestic air travel, while the Transport Security Administration (TSA) anticipates a record 8.5% increase in passenger volume.

United and American Airlines are expecting their busiest operations ever.

Seattle remains the top destination for Labor Day weekend this year, up nearly 30% from last year.

Good news
GasBuddy projects the price per gallon will average around $3.27 on Labor Day, 13% lower than last year and the lowest since 2021.
