The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating Norfolk Southern and its safety culture over the Ohio derailment last month.
The federal investigators will also look into several other accidents involving the railroads, including Tuesday’s derailment between Dayton and Columbus that claimed the life of the train conductor.
NTSB dispatched investigation teams as it probes into five major accidents since December 2021 involving one of the nation’s biggest railroads.
