Boeing is discussing the way forward with the Department of Defense after it agreed to plead guilty to criminal fraud in a case tied to Max 737 crashes, according to Reuters. The planemaker is in talks with the department over how it could protect its government contract business, which accounted for 37% of the company’s revenue last year.
The plea deal would resolve an investigation linked to the two crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia that killed 346 people. Boeing will also pay a $243.6 fine.
