Following Elon Musk’s moves with Tesla and SpaceX, Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta is mulling exiting Delaware and exploring reincorporating in Texas or other states, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The company confirmed to various media outlets that it has no plans to move its corporate headquarters from California. It, however, recently moved its trust and safety workers to Texas.
Over 60% of the Fortune 500 companies, including Google’s Alphabet, Amazon and Comcast, are incorporated in Delaware as of 2023, according to CNBC. While the state is regarded as a corporate tax haven, Texas is increasingly gaining ground.
