Paramount Global and NBCUniversal are fighting over who can stream the massive hit Yellowstone and its upcoming spinoffs.

While Paramount makes the show by Taylor Sheridan, NBCU currently holds exclusive streaming rights to it on its Peacock service until 2029—a deal Paramount regrets.

Now, Paramount plans two new shows—one with Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser returning as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler and another starring Luke Grimes, who plays Kayce Dutton.

NBCU argues these belong under its contract, but Paramount says Yellowstone has ended.

In 2023, NBCU warned Paramount that spinoffs could violate their deal.

Meanwhile, Paramount+ is streaming Yellowstone prequels 1883 and 1923 and is in talks to license them and other Sheridan shows to Netflix and Amazon.
