Tens of thousands of PlayStation gamers worldwide experienced interruptions due to a PlayStation Network (PSN) outage that lasted and remained shaky for more than 20 hours over the weekend.
Users vented their frustration out on social media, with one X user posting, “PSN down during weekend night is criminal.”
More than 68,000 complaints were reported, with many users unable to log in, access online services and multiplayer modes, or use the PlayStation Store.
Affected games included Fortnite, Call of Duty, Roblox and Marvel Rivals.
Sony confirmed on Sunday that the PSN outage issues were resolved and offered all PlayStation Plus members an additional five days of service. However, the company did not explain the cause of the disruption.
