A New Mexico judge dismissed the involuntary manslaughter charge against Alec Baldwin for the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust in 2021.
The trial was tossed out three days after it began when Baldwin’s lawyers claimed police and prosecutors hid evidence about a batch of bullets.
The judge dismissed the case with prejudice, which means prosecutors cannot refile the charge against Baldwin, bringing the yearslong legal battle the actor has been fighting to an end.
