Due to dangerously cold temperatures in Washington DC, President-elect Donald Trump announced that his inauguration ceremony would take place indoors.

It will begin at 11:30 a.m. ET. The address and speeches will be delivered in the US Capitol Rotunda, similar to what Ronald Reagan did in 1985, citing freezing weather.

With temperatures expected to be in the low 20s and wind chills in the single digits, the Capitol One Arena will host live viewing and the Presidential Parade.

Right after his swearing-in, Trump announced he would sign “dozens” of executive orders on Monday to undo several of the Biden administration’s actions.

At a dinner for his inauguration donors, Trump revealed plans to address key issues like the southern border, energy policies and federal workforce changes.

One order aims to declare a “crisis” at the US-Mexico border. He also plans to roll back outgoing president Joe Biden’s regulations on oil drilling, diversity policies and electric vehicles.

On Sunday, Trump vowed swift action on border security, claiming he would halt illegal crossings.

Some of his executive orders are expected to reduce the cost of living and pause offshore wind leases.
