At least 15 people died, and another 30 were injured after a person rammed a pickup truck into a crowd during New Year’s celebration on Bourbon Street in New Orleans.

The suspect, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a 42-year-old Texas Army veteran, was killed in a shootout with police. An Islamic State flag was found in the rented vehicle. Authorities also found explosives in the truck. Officials say the Jabbar made videos before the attack, claiming to have joined ISIS.

The FBI believes that the suspect didn’t act alone and is investigating the incident as an act of terrorism.

The attack occurred less than a mile from the Sugar Bowl venue, delaying a game between Notre Dame and the University of Georgia by 24 hours. Law enforcement is searching a Houston location connected to the suspect, and investigations continue.
